Theology

Doctrine of Salvation

Ron and John February 28, 2020

Background

In this episode, Ron and John explore what salvation is: What does it mean to be “saved,” why do we need to be saved, and what is the goal of salvation?

We humans have a problem called sin. It keeps us from being what God created us to be. It blurs the image of God in which we are all created, and that image needs to be restored. It separates us from God and the relationship that we are created to have with our Creator. God rescues us from sin and restores us to the relationship and to the image that we were always meant to enjoy. In Jesus Christ, God saves us.

For it is by grace you have been saved through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.

Ephesians 2:8
